Established in 1983 by Dr. Gerry Fischbach, Pet Shield Veterinary Hospital has undergone changes and improvements throughout the years in keeping with the many ongoing advancements in veterinary medicine. We focus on providing the highest quality medicine, surgery, and dentistry for your companion animals.
Here at Pet Shield Veterinary Hospital, we understand that our patients are not just your pets, they are your family. We want your family to receive nothing but the finest care available. That is why we take a personalized, hands-on approach to veterinary care and seek to continually improve our practice and provide accessible care. Most recently we’ve added digital radiology and offer many other services in order to meet the needs of every patient that walks through our doors.
Personalized, Compassionate Pet Care
Practicing under the philosophy of personalized, compassionate care, the staff members at Pet Shield work with clients and patients to ensure the highest quality preventive care, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and emergency care for sick or injured animals. We also have access to board-certified surgeons, radiologists, dermatologists, and cardiologists.
Conveniently located in the former Giant Oak Pharmacy next to the Branford Compassion Club, Pet Shield Veterinary Hospital is open 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, to accommodate our clients’ needs. We will also take in a limited amount of emergency patients, and if the particular situation should require care not available at our facility, we can immediately direct you to the proper care. The health and safety of your furry friends and family is our highest priority.
